Pompous meeting of Rubati Mitsaeva in Grozny surprises social network users

The welcoming ceremony at the Grozny Airport of Rubati Mitsaeva, a former associate of Akhmed Zakaev, with the participation of ministers and a Chechen MP has surprised social media users. At the same time, many reacted kindly to Mitsaeva's return to homeland.

On October 6, Mitsaeva asked Ramzan Kadyrov to allow her to return from Germany to Chechnya. She stressed that she had ceased to be a comrade-in-arms of Akhmed Zakaev, who lives in Britain and who, according to analysts, is perceived as a rival by Kadyrov.

Readers of the "Caucasian Knot" have pointed out that Mitsaeva will now have to side with Kadyrov; and on October 24, she criticized the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

Many social media users have supported Mitsaeva's return to Chechnya, but they were surprised by her pompous meeting at the airport by officials.

"What such honours to her are for; even the minister welcomed her," the user rizama_68 was surprised. "Who is she to be met by ministers? What a shame!" the user evaa3143 has noted.

Let us note here that the "Grozny" TV Channel reported that Mitsaeva is not wanted for participation in illegal armed formations (IAFs), or for extremism and support for terrorists.
