In Kabardino-Balkaria, activists announce an action to help disabled children

The “Circassian Renaissance” charitable organization has announced a fundraising campaign for the purchase of wheelchairs for disabled children in Kabardino-Balkaria.

Activists of the “Circassian Renaissance” organization in Kabardino-Balkaria are holding a charity event to draw attention to the problem of providing wheelchairs for children with disabilities, Khachim Zheligashtov, the head of the “Circassian Renaissance”, states.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, there are about 4500 disabled children under the age of 18. The task of the activists of the organization “Circassian Renaissance” does not include providing all those in need with wheelchairs, but rather the issue of drawing public attention to the problem, notes Khachim Zheligashtov, the head of the “Circassian Renaissance”. “It made a huge impression on me when I saw how a mother was putting her child into a car from an uncomfortable wheelchair. It hurt me when I watched that. I imagined what it was like to do that every day. And I got an idea to help such people,” Khachim Zheligashtov told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

The information about the charitable action will be disseminated on the pages of the “Circassian Renaissance” in social networks. According to Khachim Zheligashtov, partners and state-run media will also be involved.
