Relatives of Ossetian blogger Djikaeva alarmed by her transfer to a psychiatric hospital

Malika Djikaeva, a blogger from North Ossetia, was transferred from a penal colony to a psychiatric hospital without warning. This was reported by a mother of the blogger sentenced for drug trafficking. Malika Djikaeva is afraid of being forced to self-incrimination under the influence of drugs.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in March, Malika Djikaeva was transferred to a penal colony. Her mother noted that the daughter’s health was at risk and that the used medications had significantly worsened Malika’s quality of life.

In March 2020, Malika Djikaeva was detained in Grozny on suspicion of drug possession. In December 2020, the court sentenced her to three years of imprisonment. Examinations confirmed that Malika Djikaeva did not use drugs. Her relatives believe that illegal drug substances were planted to Malika in order to punish her for posting the shocking videos on Instagram.

On July 29, Malika Djikaeva was suddenly transferred to a psychiatric hospital, her mother Angela Kudzieva reported.

“She is afraid that they will stuff her with drugs and force her to take the blame for what she did not do,” the blogger’s mother said.

Neurologist Elena Anokhina confirms that the drugs listed by Malika Djikaeva’s mother have a positive effect on people with Tourette’s syndrome. “Tourette’s syndrome is a neurological disorder that causes a person to make involuntary movements called tics, like short and same movements, and involuntary sounds,” Elena Anokhina explained.

The neurologist notes that if a person suffering from Tourette’s syndrome does not take sedatives, the disorder will worsen.
