Nalchik and Baksan residents tell about situation during CTO

In the areas of conducting a counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the cities of Nalchik and Baksan, the sounds of explosions and shootings are heard; helicopters are seen in the air. Residents of nearby houses were not notified about the CTO, Instagram users have written.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on June 3, the regional operative headquarters introduced a CTO regime in Nalchik, and next morning, the CTO regime was also introduced in Baksan. The search for militants is underway in the CTO area.

Some Instagram users have complained about the intense shooting.

Residents of Baksan report that apart from shooting, explosions were also heard.

Another group of commentators have complained about the suddenness of the CTO introduction. "I thought it was fireworks," the user marsedos has noted.
