Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov discloses plan of his brother's assassination

Organizers of the attempt on Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov's life did not plan the possibility for the killer they hired to escape from Germany after the crime, and his further fate did not bother them, blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov claims.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 8, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported there was an attempt to kill his brother Mokhmad in Germany. According to the blogger's information, Tamerlan Aurbiev, a killer from Chechnya, refused to kill Mokhmad and disclosed the name of the intermediary in the case.

An uncle and a cousin of Tamerlan Aurbiev recorded a video appeal in which they said their relative was capable of committing crimes. Thus, the video indirectly confirmed the information of blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov about the attempt on the life of his brother Mokhmad, human rights defenders point out.

In the case on the attempted murder of Mokhmad, only one person was arrested, the one whom Tamerlan Aurbiev pointed to as the intermediary between him and the organizers of the crime, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported. The blogger also added that the issue of granting asylum to his brother had not advanced.

In 2015, Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov left Russia because of threats of physical violence. He first went to Georgia, but was denied asylum. In March 2017, he flew to Germany, where the authorities had twice denied him political asylum. At present, Mokhmad is the spokesperson in Germany of the human rights association "Vayfond".

The killer was given the task not only to kill Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov, but also to mock his body, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported. "Tamerlan got the instructions to shoot Mokhmad dead and then to stick a knife in his ass," Tumso said. According to the blogger, that would be a sign showing Tumso himself that Mokhmad was killed in revenge for the unsuccessful attempt on the blogger's life.

Two years ago, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, declared Tumso Abdurakhmanov his blood enemy because of the statement concerning Akhmat Kadyrov.
