In Yerevan, law enforcer cordon off government building

In Yerevan, the Armenian capital, policemen have set up a cordon around the government building aiming to prevent the disruption of the parliament session by supporters of the opposition who demand Pashinyan's resignation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 22, oppositionists went out to a protest action in Republic Square in Yerevan, demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. A scuffle broke out of protesters with law enforcers after the former tried to set up a tent camp. The latter demanded to dismantle the tents. In the morning on December 23, the protest action continued. The protesters announced plans to block the government building at 10 a.m. Yerevan time today, so as not to let Pashinyan attend the session.
