Tskhinvali protesters stay overnight in front of government building

Residents of South Ossetia continued their spontaneous rally in the square in front of the government building in Tskhinvali. They demand resignation of the republic's head.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 28, in Tskhinvali, Inal Djabiev, detained within the case of an attempt on Igor Naniev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), died. Photos with signs of severe beatings on the detainee's body were disseminated on the Internet. Eight employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were detained in the case on the Inal Djabiev's death.

In the evening on August 31, a new protest action began in the republic's capital. According to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, up to 1000 people are taking part in the action. They demand the resignation of the incumbent President Anatoly Bibilov; some protesters are standing with posters "Resign!"

The square was crowded twice a day. In the afternoon, the funeral procession brought the coffin with Inal Djabiev's body to the central square. In the evening, after the funeral, people began coming to the square again.
