Law enforcers report murder of alleged militant in shootout in Nazran

In Ingushetia, a battle with alleged militants is over; one of them was killed. There are no casualties among law enforcers; the killed militant was pre-identified.

The counterterrorist operation (CTO) was carried out in Nazran and in the village of Sagopshi, Malgobek District, from 10:25 p.m. Moscow time on August 6. One of the terrorists was killed in a shootout with law enforcers, the TASS reports, citing a law enforcement source.

"One member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) has been liquidated. There are no victims among law enforcers," the source said.

The alleged militant killed in Nazran is the 27-year-old Movsar Evloev, the REN TV has reported on its website today.

Law enforcers came to his house in Nazran after they received information that Evloev might be hiding militants of the "Imarat Kavkaz" (the organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia). According to the TV Company, the militants stored weapons in Movsar's house.
