Police report 28 detainees in Tbilisi and Batumi

Administrative protocols have been drawn up on 27 protesters against the screening of the film "And then we danced" in Georgia. Another LGBT opponent is suspected of attacking a girl who wanted to get into the cinema.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 8, the day of the film premiere, protesters clashed with law enforcers at the "Amirani" Cinema in Tbilisi and tried to break through the police cordon. By 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, at least 11 people had been detained near the cinema.

Protests took place in four other cinemas of Tbilisi, as well as at the "Apollo" Cinema in Batumi, all actions ended after midnight. Administrative protocols on petty hooliganism and disobedience to police were drawn up on 24 people detained in Tbilisi, and three ones, detained in Batumi, the Channel One of the Georgian TV has reported today with reference to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

One person was detained on suspicion of attacking Anna Subeliani, an activist, at the "Amirani" Cinema. The girl was hit on the head with some blunt object, when she tried to get into the cinema. Another criminal case was opened in connection with the attack on the leader of the Republican Party, David Berdzenishvili, who gave his comments to journalists near "Amirani", the "News-Georgia" has reported today.

A criminal case was also opened about the attack on two policemen, who received traumas and were hospitalized. Another criminal case has been opened in connection with the damage of a police car.

The total number of detainees is 28 people, the "Sputnik Georgia" has quoted the MIA data today.
