Silence about Kadyrov's health fuels interest in plot version

Today, Ramzan Kadyrov, after a pause during which the information about a plot in his entourage was discussed, has appeared at an official meeting. The authorities' silence is heating up conspiracy theories, experts on the Caucasus have pointed out.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Apti Alaudinov, the head of the Chechen Police, and Valid Abdureshidov, the head of the administration of the Urus-Martan District, had publicly announced, after the appearance of the information about the attempt to poison the head of Chechnya, that they had not betrayed Kadyrov. Besides, Alaudinov voiced out threats to the journalists, who wrote about a conspiracy against the Chechen leader.

On October 7, the information about the attempt to poison Kadyrov was spread by the Telegram channel "SKFO Telegraph" (SKFO means North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD)). According to the channel, two former Mayors of Chechen cities and a high-ranking law enforcer were suspected of plotting the attempt.

The information about the assassination attempt on Kadyrov is a rumour, Akhmed Dudaev, the director of the "Grozny" TV channel, who is also an assistant to the head of Chechnya, has stated. "Kadyrov is an ordinary person who can get sick," Dudaev wrote in his Instagram.

The authorities' persistent evasion from voicing out the official version of Kadyrov's disease is explained by the fact that he is not interested in conspiracy theories, said Alexei Malashenko, an Orientalist. He is inclined to think that Kadyrov really just got sick.

In the opinion of Mikhail Roschin, another Orientalist, Kadyrov's entourage is afraid that some of them will be suspected of plotting the attempt on their boss.
