Kadyrov copies Putin's practice of manual ruling

Authorities of Chechnya are promptly solving residents' problems voiced out on air of the programme with Ramzan Kadyrov broadcast on the local TV. Kadyrov has entirely copied the practice of "Direct Lines" with Putin, the political analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have noted.

Within 24 hours, authorities of Chechnya laid down a kilometre-long water supply pipeline in the dwelling settlement of Assinovskaya in the Sunzha District. According to local residents, the problem was solved after one of the villagers addressed the head of Chechnya during a "live broadcast" with Kadyrov last week.

The authorities' quick response to the problem of Assinovskaya villagers is a demonstrative example of the "manual ruling" regime established in Chechnya, Ruslan Kutaev, the head of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, has stated.

Andrei Serenko, a political analyst and the coordinator of the Club of Experts of the Lower Volga Region, sticks to a similar opinion. "Without a doubt, this is an example of manual ruling. Kadyrov borrows Mr Putin's practice by using the image of a good wizard – after addressing him live on air with the head of the republic, the situation gets instantly improved," Mr Serenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Professor Alexei Malashenko, the head of researches at the "Dialogue of Civilizations" Institute, has also drawn analogies between Ramzan Kadyrov's line broadcasts and Vladimir Putin's Direct Line.

"This is one hundred percent direct replica of Putin's actions. It's as if Kadyrov says: 'I'm Putin's soldier, I take him as a model; I can do the same; and I learn from Putin'," Mr Malashenko has noted.
