Kemal Tambiev reports to his advocate about defaming Abdulmumin Gadjiev

Kemal Tambiev, detained on suspicion of financing terrorism, reported to his advocate that he testified against Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft), under pressure and signed an interrogation report without reading it.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 14, law enforcers detained Abdulmumin Gadjiev, an editor of "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly. Apart from him, two more persons were detained within the case of financing terrorism – Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" charity fund, and Kemal Tambiev.

On June 17, Taulan Ebzeev, an advocate of Kemal Tambiev, questioned his client and drew up a protocol.

According to the questioning protocol (a copy of the document is at the disposal of the "Caucasian Knot"), on June 14, eight law enforcers broke into a Kemal Tambiev's apartment in the town of Balashikha. "They immediately began to hit me in my face and body and insult me ...," reported Kemal Tambiev under the protocol.

The detainee also reported that during the interrogation at a police station, the law enforcers inclined Kemal Tambiev to a deal with investigators under the conditions of self-incrimination, as well as defamation of Abdulmumin Gadjiev and other people. "It is an absolute lie when I point in the interrogation report to the involvement of Abdulmumin Gadjiev and other persons in the commission of some crimes. I signed the protocol under psychological pressure," said Kemal Tambiev.

He filed a motion to conduct a medical examination, establish and bring to justice those people who beat him at his apartment in Balashikha, and also exclude as inadmissible evidence the information contained in the interrogation protocol, which he had signed under pressure, advocate Taulan Ebzeev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on June 17.
