The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported that three suspects were killed in the shootout with law enforcers in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan. According to the NAC, the law enforcers were attacked when, in accordance with the counterterrorist (CTO) legal regime, they were inspecting a deserted private house in the village of Sultan-Yangi-Yurt.

The CTO legal regime was introduced in the Khasavyurt and Kizilyurt Districts of Dagestan on March 20, 2018. On April 21, 2018, law enforcers cordoned off the village of Matseevka in the Kizilyurt District and inspected and searched cars there. The law enforcers' actions provoked indignation among the villagers. On March 29, law enforcers carried out a raid in the village of Kirovaul in the Kizilyurt District, no one was detained.

In the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, the recent attack on law enforcers occurred on July 20, 2018. Then a car of the road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) was shelled on the highway "Kavkaz", and the attackers fled.
