Dagestani activist claims law enforcers' threats received after "Monstration"

Law enforcers threatened with a murder to Olga Moskvitina, an intersex activist, detained at the "Monstration" event in Makhachkala on May 1. According to her story, after the detention, she was forced to undress.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 1, eight persons were detained at the "Monstration" in Makhachkala. One of the female activists reported that the detainees were beaten up. The human rights organization "Amnesty International" (AI) declared them to be prisoners of conscience.

The "Monstration" is a massive action in the form of a demonstration with absurd slogans.

"I was threatened that they would spread rumours so that locals would kill me; or they would slaughter me themselves and stated that it was done by Wahhabis. They said that this would be done so that such creatures like me did not exist. They forced me to undress, and asked me about my genitals," the "OVD-Info" quotes Ms Moskvitina as saying.

According to the edition, Olga Moskvitina is in the status of a transgender. She was born with signs of both sexes; but she has a male gender indicated in her passport.

She wrote in her Twitter about death threats back on May 1. "They threatened to contact bandits so that my head was cut off," she said in one of her publications.
