In Volgograd, people evacuated from 18 schools after threats of bombing

Law enforcers began searching for explosive devices in Volgograd schools, hospitals, shopping centres, and office buildings after reports of bombs.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late January and early February, in a number of Russian regions, people were evacuated from schools, hospitals, shopping centres, markets, and office buildings after reports of bombs. After the checks, law enforcers reported that the information about bombs was not confirmed.

Today, anonymous reports have been received about the bombs in 18 schools, as well as administrative buildings in Volgograd, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a press officer from the city administration. "The information came by e-mail. In accordance with the instructions, school principals transmitted information to emergency services. Half of schools were on vacation, nevertheless, people were evacuated from all institutions that received threats," the press officer reported.

People were also evacuated from seven city hospitals, five shopping centres, and two administrative buildings, including the Volgograd City Duma, the "V1.ru" reports.
