Law enforcers accumulated in Nazran after spontaneous protest

At night on March 28, car drivers carried out a mass spontaneous motor rally in Nazran, and after that, the additional units of law enforcers were accumulated in the city, activists reported. Today, the situation in the streets is calm, residents of Nazran note.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, residents of Ingushetia, demanding the resignation of Yunus-Bek Evkurov, extended the protest action in the square in Magas without sanction from the authorities and that led to clashes with law enforcers on the other day. After the authorities promised to sanction a new rally in five days, the protest leaders persuaded their supporters to leave the square.

Meanwhile, on March 27, the protesters gathered at the entrance to Nazran and blocked the "Caucasus" federal highway near the Ekazhevo circle. In the evening, the protesters agreed to unblock the highway and headed for the mosque.

According to Nazran activists, in the evening and at night, the car drivers drove through the streets. They were pressing klaxons and waving flags of Ingushetia. "Some of them shouted 'Allah Akbar' to loudspeakers. We noticed reinforcement [of the police], mainly crews of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS)," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a Nazran resident, who preferred to remain anonymous.

The spontaneous motor rally was a continuation of the rally at the entrance to Nazran, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was confirmed by Ismail Nalgiev, one of the organizers of the motor rally, a member of the Coordinating Council of Ingush youth organizations, the head of the regional public organization "Elections of Ingushetia". "At night, car drivers continued a protest action in Nazran. They drove around the city, pressed klaxons, and greeted each other. It was a spontaneous action, people organized themselves. The people were tired, we were tired of promises. That is why the 'Caucasus' highway was blocked," said Ismail Nalgiev.

After that, according to the activist, the additional law enforcement forces were seconded to the city, most of them from Dagestan. "They stand at every crossroad. There are a lot of detached law enforcers," said Ismail Nalgiev.
