ICRF claims no traces of beatings on body of Kadyrov's security

The surveillance camera records and the examination of the body of Ayub Tuntuev, a former security of the Chechen leader, have failed to confirm his relatives' version about his death after beating in a colony, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has stated. However, the advocate of the inmate is sure that the version of his client's suicide is absolutely unacceptable.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 12, the "Legal Initiative" informed about Tuntuev's suicide in a colony in the Vladimir Region, where he served his term. Relatives said that they had seen bruises on Tuntuev's body, and that some of his internal organs were missing.

A forensic medical examination of Tuntuev's body was conducted in the presence of the investigator. No bodily injuries indicating the beating of the convict were found, says the March 25 message posted on the website of the Investigating Department (ID) for the Vladimir Region of the ICRF.

The ID adds that these findings are confirmed by records of surveillance cameras.

The investigators assert that no internal organs were extracted from Tuntuev's body after his death. However, the ID failed to indicate the death reason.

The version of Tuntuev's suicide is absolutely unacceptable, said Tagir Shamsudinov, his advocate. "I know Ayub since 2015, I know what he had passed through ... There was nothing like suicide there," the "Govorit Moskva" (Moscow's Speaking) quotes the advocate as saying.
