Temirlan Machalikashvili dies in hospital

Today, a 19-year-old resident of the Pankisi Gorge, severely wounded by law enforcers during a special operation in the Pankisi Gorge on December 26, 2017, has died. This was reported by a doctor.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 19-year-old Temirlan Machalikashvili stayed in resuscitation ward.

According to a version voiced by the Georgian State Security Service, law enforcers wounded Temirlan Machalikashvili when he tried to throw a grenade to them. The young man's relatives denied the above version. Special troop's fighters did not need to shoot at the young man, advocate Mariam Kublashvili believes.

On the air of the "Georgian Public Broadcaster", Professor Zaza Lursmanashvili, a doctor of the Archangel Michael Clinic, reported that by the morning, the patient's condition worsened and the doctors failed to save him.

Earlier, on the air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel, Mariam Kublashvili, an advocate of Temirlan Machalikashvili, reported that the Georgian Ministry for Public Health had agreed with the "Koch" clinic in Istanbul concerning the medical treatment of Temirlan Machalikashvili.

Let us remind you that Georgian doctors agreed to transfer the patient to a foreign clinic. David Sergienko, Georgian Minister for Public Health, announced that all the costs of medical treatment will be paid by the Georgian authorities. Two Turkish clinics agreed to accept the patient. Meanwhile, the Georgian Ministry for Public Health reported the refusal of the Berlin Charité clinic to accept the wounded young man.
