Five children returned to Russia from Iraq

Today, three Chechen boys, the eldest of whom is six years old, and two girls, whose parents lived in Dagestan, have been returned to Russia from Iraq.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that Russian authorities are engaged in returning children from the Middle East, who had been brought to Syria and Iraq by their parents, who allegedly joined terrorists.

Today, the children from Chechnya and Dagestan have arrived in the Moscow "Vnukovo" Airport. They have been met by Russia's Ombudsperson Tatiana Moskalkova and Children's Ombudsperson Anna Kuznetsova, the RIA "Novosti" reports today.

According to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, three children are natives of Chechnya, and parents of other two girls were from Dagestan.

"Senator Ziyad Sabsabi, a representative of the Chechen leader in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, flew to Moscow with an Iraqi airline. He is accompanying three boys and two sisters. The boys are four-six years old. The father of the children was killed, and the mother with a 4-month-old girl is in prison in Iraq. We are taking measures to release the woman. This is an extremely complicated issue. Ziyad Mukhammedovich is also accompanying two girls from Dagestan whose parents are not alive. The girls are from four months old to three years old," wrote today Ramzan Kadyrov in his Instagram.

The leader of Chechnya has also noted that every day he gets requests to find children taken away by their parents to Syria and Iraq.

In her turn, on October 10, Russia's Ombudsperson Tatiana Moskalkova announced she sent an appeal to the UN on creating a humanitarian corridor for the release of women and children, citizens of Russia, from Mosul.

According to Tatiana Moskalkova, till present, she has not yet received a reply from the UN. Meanwhile, she hopes to discuss the problem at a meeting with Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, scheduled for October 20 in Moscow, the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reports.
