"Novaya Gazeta": Taramov’s and Tazbiev’s relatives beaten up by Chechen law enforcers

Chechen law enforcers have detained Salman Taramov and Magomed Tazbiev, relatives of the young men detained in Chechnya after an attack on Grozny in December 2016. This was reported by the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta". At 5:28 p.m. Moscow time, Magomed Tazbiev reported on beatings at a police station, the newspaper reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that today, the "Novaya Gazeta" reported that over 150 residents of Chechnya signed an appeal to the Russian General Prosecutor. The residents of Chechnya demanded to bring to justice those people who tortured Magomed Taramov and Jamalai Tazbiev. The young men were detained shortly after the attack on Grozny in December 2016, the "Novaya Gazeta" reports.

On December 17, 2016, attacks on policemen were committed in Grozny, and after that in the course of a special operation, according to the law enforcement agencies, seven suspected militants were killed and four others were detained. Later, local residents reported that relatives of the murdered and detained attackers had been massively detained.
