Abkhazian Prosecutor's Office discloses names of suspects in Russian tourist's murder case

Today, the General Prosecutor's Office of Abkhazia has reported that as a result of the operational and search activities, law enforcers have identified the persons who committed a robbery attack on tourists in the Primorskoe village in the Gudauta District on July 11. The names of the suspects have been disclosed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 11, in Abkhazia, Russian tourist Andrei Kabanov was killed as a result of an armed attack. The Abkhazian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has promised to pay one million roubles for the information about the attackers' whereabouts.

"On July 15, 2017, Adgur Vasilievich Djindjoliya, born in 1988, was detained. On July 16, 2017, Daur Vasilevich Djindjoliya, born in 1987, the second suspect, was also detained. The both men are brothers and residents of the Abgarkhuk village of the Gudauta District," reports the Prosecutor's Office as quoted by the "Sputnik-Abkhazia".

According to the Abkhazian Prosecutor's Office, one of the detainees actively cooperates with investigators and confessed to the crime. Thanks to that fact, the law enforcers have already found out the location of a hiding and seized automatic weapons and other material evidence relevant to the case.

On July 12, the Russian Embassy in Abkhazia recommended tourists from Russia to be more careful on vacation because of the deterioration of the crime situation in the republic. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a director of a travel agency that tourists who purchased vouchers to Abkhazia refuse their tours. According to an owner of a private hotel in Sukhumi, tourists are frightened by the murder of a Russian citizen.
