Alexei Volchenko, participant of tractor march, treats court's decision to fine him as biased

On the basis of false video, the court has wrongly recognized the actions of the participants of the Kuban farmers' tractor march as a rally. This was claimed by Alexei Volchenko, the fined leader of the movement "Polite Farmers". The court has refused to watch another video, which, according to Alexei Volchenko, proved the innocence of the farmers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the Rostov Region, the court has considered the case against 12 participants of the tractor run held by Kuban farmers. Three of the detainees were sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest, and the others were obliged to pay fines.

Alexei Volchenko, sentenced to a fine of 30,000 roubles, has noted that he still does not know whether the protestor will continue the tractor run to Moscow in the near future.

The activist has said that the judge has dismissed a motion to examine the video, showing that the event was not a rally, but a meeting with the authorities held in a summer cafe.

The chief of the police for the Aksai District threatened the detained participants of the tractor run that they would be charged under Article "extremism". This was claimed by Igor Dudarchuk, a member of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) for the Krasnodar Territory, and a member of the Regional Council for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC).

According to Igor Dudarchuk, on August 26, a meeting of the regional HRC will take place in Krasnodar, and he intends to raise the issue of the Kuban farmers at the meeting.
