Residents of Nalchik hold gathering to demand fair land distribution

Today, in the Nalchik residential district of Volny Aul, local residents have held a gathering. Some citizens dissatisfied with distribution of land plot went to the administration to hold negotiations with the authorities.

Today, the gathering of the resident of Volny Aul has been attended by Arsen Alakaev, the head of the Nalchik administration, and Marat Gegraev, the chief of the Nalchik City UVD (Interior Department). The local residents told the officials that they treat the current distribution of land plots in the residential district as unfair, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the long period of time, Kabardino-Balkaria faces the land problem and the problem of non-fulfilment of the Law "On general principles of local self-government in the Russian Federation". The above problems resulted in numerous land conflicts, in particular, in the villages of Deiskoe, Nartan, and Verkny Akbash.
