Lykhny

Settlement in Gudautsky area of Abkhazia, in 4 kms to the north from the city of Gudauty. One of the most ancient settlements of Abkhazia. By the middle of XIX century a winter residence of sovereign princes of Abkhazia. Historical monuments were kept: temple of X-XI centuries in the Byzantian style with a rich fresco list of XIV century, bell tower, ruins of a palace of kings of Abkhazia (XIV century).
