Conference of women in Karachaevo-Cherkessia

A conference of women was held at the assembly hall of the Cherkessk City Administration on November 30, with 333 women being participants in it. Such a meeting took place in 1991 for the last time.

Svetlana Kostikova, head of the city department of education presided at the conference. The participants unanimously approved a decision on the foundation of Cherkessk women's public organization.

The main goal of the conference was to prepare for the republican women's congress scheduled for December 18, 2003. 210 delegates will represent the town at the congress.
