Azerbaijan president Ilkham Aliyev does not exclude chance of using force for Karabakh conflict settlement

Newly elected president of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev does not exclude a chance of using force for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

While speaking on October 24 in Baku at a joint press conference with chief of the Turkish land forces Aytak Yalman, Ilkham Aliyev noted that positive processes taking place in the Azerbaijan armed forces could play an important role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. According to Mr. Aliyev, the failure of the OSCE peacemaking mission in Nagorny Karabakh means that the time has come to settle the problem of this region independently by applying variants that presume the use of force.

The Turkish military man of high rank stressed in his turn that Ankara was also interested that the crisis in Nagorny Karabakh should be settled and will offer its support to Baku for it.
