Chechnya: three militiamen wounded by explosion

Yesterday, on April 12, an explosion happened in the Kurchaloy District of Chechnya, as a result of which, as reported by law enforcement bodies of the republic, three militiamen were wounded.

Let us note here that on that very day in another foothill district of Chechnya - Shali - as a result of a land mine triggering, a contract soldier of a sapper unit of the Internal Troops was heavily wounded.

According to law enforcement bodies, the explosion took place at about 4:15 p.m. in a large forest near Akhkinchu Borzoi village.

"When conducting their operative-search actions, three militiamen blew themselves up on an unidentified explosive. As a result, they received fragmental wounds and were hospitalized. There were no casualties among militiamen," said the source.

Now, the check is underway of the fact of the incident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 10 in the foothill Urus-Martan District of Chechnya at explosion of a land mine, an ensign of a special unit of the Internal Troops of the Russian MIA was killed.

Several days earlier, on April 5, in the southeast of Chechnya in the foothill Shali District, a self-made bomb blew up and wounded a serviceman of the engineering-sapper unit of the Russian Internal Troops was wounded and hospitalized.

On March 25, under similar circumstances in the high-mountainous Vedeno District of Chechnya three employees of the Russian MIA, sent to Chechnya from the Perm Territory, were wounded.

On March 15, in the foothill Achkhoy-Martan District of Chechnya, in the vicinity of Bamut village, an explosion of a land mine and shelling wounded a Russian military and a Chechen militiaman.

On March 2, in the foothill Urus-Martan District of Chechnya, an explosion of a land mine killed a contract military of the Russian MIA's Internal Troops.

On March 1, in the Urus-Martan District of Chechnya, an identified explosive device blew up and wounded a federal soldier.

With the onset of spring-and-summer season, more active operations of armed formations can be expected in the territory of the region. The main reason is that the appearing greenery allows militants practically freely move in the mountain-woody areas and undertake sudden attacks and subversive and terrorist actions.
