The defense was unable to appeal the verdict of Bogdan Abdurakhmanov and Boris Goncharenko, who were convicted of arson at the military registration and enlistment office in Goryachy Klyuch.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," at the end of 2024, a court sentenced Bogdan Abdurakhmanov to 13 years in prison, finding him guilty of arson at the military registration and enlistment office in Goryachy Klyuch. The court found Boris Goncharenko an accomplice to Abdurakhmanov and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.

The appellate court upheld the verdict of the Southern District Military Court against two residents of Krasnodar Krai who were convicted of attempting to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office building in Goryachy Klyuch, Kommersant reported on May 19.

The defense attempted to challenge the court's decision, but the appellate court found no grounds for overturning it, TASS reports.

As a reminder, on October 6, 2022, the military registration and enlistment office building in Goryachy Klyuch was set on fire. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire before the fire department arrived. Abdurakhmanov is charged with committing a terrorist act (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code), and Goncharenko is charged with aiding and abetting terrorist activity (Part 3 of Article 205.1 of the Russian Criminal Code). Investigators believe Abdurakhmanov set fire to the military registration and enlistment office building, and Goncharenko helped him make a Molotov cocktail.
