Airports in southern Russia have suspended operations following the attack on Rostov-on-Don.

Operations at 13 airports have been suspended after a drone struck the regional air traffic control center in Rostov-on-Don. Private homes and industrial facilities were damaged in the Rostov region.

A drone struck the building of the regional center in Rostov-on-Don, which controls air traffic in southern Russia, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) reported today.

"Its operations have been temporarily adjusted. Personnel are safe, and an analysis of the equipment's functionality is underway. Airport operations have been temporarily suspended in Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Gelendzhik, Grozny, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Sochi, Stavropol, and Elista," the agency reported.

Rostov-on-Don Mayor Alexander Skryabin announced the introduction of a state of emergency within the Zheleznodorozhny District, where damage was sustained after the drone crash.

In Rostov, on Aeroklubovsky Lane, the attack and falling UAV debris damaged the following: window glass and a gas pipe in residential buildings, a truck, and a tree caught fire. There were no injuries. The fire has been contained. A four-story administrative building in Rostov's Pervomaysky District caught fire as a result of falling UAV debris, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported.

In the Rostov Region, UAVs and missiles were destroyed in the city of Taganrog and the Azovsky District during the repelling of an air attack. He clarified that there were no casualties.

In Taganrog, a garage in a private home was damaged as a result of falling burning UAV fragments. There was no open fire. The fire has been contained.

In the village of Chaltyr in the Myasnikovsky District, as of 10:30 a.m., 50 private homes and three cars were damaged as a result of falling UAV debris.

In the Myasnikovsky District, in the southeastern industrial zone, a missile crash caused a fire in warehouses and the collapse of a warehouse building. The fire has now been contained.

In Bataysk, on Socialisticheskaya Street, the roof and windows of an outbuilding were damaged as a result of falling UAV debris.
