Three soldiers from the Rostov region were killed in Ukraine.

Sergey Boychenko, Dmitry Imanbaev, and Valery Shchevelev from the Chertkovsky District were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 891 soldiers from the Rostov Region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by May 2, at least 888 soldiers from the Rostov Region had been officially recognized as killed in the SVO zone. At that time, the authorities of the Chertkovsky District reported that Sergei Gnezdilov had been killed in the military operation.

The opening of the "Alley of Memory" dedicated to the soldiers killed during the military operation took place in the park in the village of Osikovo, Chertkovsky District. Among them are Sergei Boychenko, Dmitry Imanbaev, and Valery Shchevelev, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Sergey Boychenko, born May 28, 1996, was killed in November 2024 in the village of Verkhnekamenskoye in the Artemovsky District. Dmitry Imanbaev, born September 27, 1982, was killed while delivering aid in March 2022. Valery Shchevelev, born in 1995, was killed in combat for the city of Artemovsk in January 2023.

Thus, at least 891 soldiers from the Rostov Region have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Northern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia."

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Are Denying Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers," which describes the stories of soldiers from other regions. In particular, the widow of one of the killed soldiers said that without a body, the battalion did not make payments in connection with the death of the soldier.
