A man was killed in a drone attack in Tuapse.

A drone attack in the Tuapse seaport killed one person and injured another.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of April 16, a drone attack in Tuapse killed a 14-year-old girl and an adult woman, and injured seven others. Sixty residential buildings and three public facilities were damaged, and five private homes were completely destroyed. A fire also broke out at the seaport, which was only extinguished on April 19.

Tuapse was subjected to a "massive drone attack" last night, reported Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.

"As a result, according to preliminary information, one man died at the seaport. I express my deepest condolences to his family. Another man was injured and is receiving all necessary medical care," the regional task force quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.

According to authorities, a fire broke out at the seaport. "It is also known that UAV debris damaged the windows of several buildings in the city, including an elementary school and kindergarten, a museum, a church, an apartment building, and a gas pipe. In all cases, emergency services and special services are working at the drone impact sites," the publication notes.

As a reminder, on September 24, 2025, two people were killed and 14 others were injured after UAV and unmanned boat attacks on Novorossiysk and Tuapse. That day, people in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, and Sochi were ordered to leave the beaches, but in Sochi, some vacationers returned to the sea. Social media users called this behavior reckless.

Civilians in the coastal areas of Kuban resorts risk becoming accidental victims in attacks, so the evacuation of vacationers from the beaches was a justified measure, experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" confirmed.

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Territory banned the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as the filming of air defense operations, military facilities, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding bill of the regional legislative assembly.
