Compensation amounts for housing losses due to flooding in Dagestan have been announced.

Payments to people who lost their homes as a result of flooding in Dagestan will depend on family composition and total area standards.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on April 16, in addition to the federal emergency regime in Dagestan, Sergei Melikov declared a regional emergency due to severe weather in several areas of the republic, including mountainous ones.

On April 16, Dagestan Head Sergei Melikov ordered the dispatch of licensed specialists to the affected areas of the republic to approve the list of damaged homes, the press service of the Dagestan head's administration reported on its Telegram channel.

First Deputy Prime Minister Manvel Mazhonts reported that, by law, those who lost their homes are entitled to a payment in the form of a housing certificate for the purchase or construction of a new home. The certificate amount is calculated based on family composition and total area standards: 33 square meters or 2.7 million rubles for a single citizen, 42 square meters (3.4 million rubles) for a family of two, plus 18 square meters (1.5 million rubles) for every third and subsequent family member.
 
These calculations have an important limitation - the area provided cannot exceed the area of ​​the lost housing. The established price per square meter in Dagestan is 81,000 rubles; this rate will be used in the future to calculate the certificate amount.
 
Victims will be able to independently manage the funds allocated to them, subject to one of the following conditions: providing a document certifying actual repair expenses or a contract with a contractor, Manvel Mazhonts clarified.
