Residents of mountain villages in the Charodinsky district asked for help.

Residents of the snow-blocked village of Sodab-Moshob in the Charodinsky District have asked for help rescuing animals. In Archib and other nearby villages, hay supplies prepared for the winter are running low.

As reported by Kavkazsky Knot, authorities in the Dakhadayevsky District of Dagestan have declared a state of emergency due to a sharp increase in landslides amid heavy rainfall. Eleven homes have already been damaged, and residents of another ten households have been evacuated from the danger zone.

A video of local residents attempting to rescue animals from the snow was published by the Novoye Delo (New Business) Telegram channel. By 11:30 PM Moscow time on April 14, the post had garnered over a thousand views.

"Please share this information with everyone who can help in the Charodinsky District. We need to rescue animals in the villages of Sodab-Moshob, Archib, and higher up, where the hay purchased for the winter is running low," the statement reads.

The publication notes that landslides have disrupted reliable transportation to these villages. The district is experiencing constant power outages, depriving villagers of their only means of cooking: firewood is running low, and there has never been any gas in the area.

On April 14, Dagenergo reported the restoration of power to two rural settlements in Dagestan's Charodinsky District that were damaged by landslides.

"Power engineers from Gergebil RES carried out emergency restoration work in the village of Shalib. Specialists from Gergebil RES carried out emergency restoration work in the village of Chitab," the power grid company said in a statement.

Caucasian Knot also reported that the village of Khosrekh in the Kulinsky District was blocked by snow at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. Residents cut off from the outside world due to bad weather are left without electricity and communications, the head of the village stated on April 13, asking for food to be sent to the village.
