Irina Gerbekova received back some of her confiscated property.

The Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia has ordered the return of approximately 34 million rubles' worth of property to former Deputy Prime Minister Irina Gerbekova and her relatives, which had previously been turned over to the state.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," at the end of October 2025, a court in Karachay-Cherkessia seized the property of Irina Gerbekova, who was accused of creating an organized crime group. The value of the seized property was approximately 98 million rubles.

By the decision of the court of first instance, the following were confiscated from Gerbekova and her relatives: apartments in Moscow and Cherkessk, another residential property in Moscow, 12 non-residential properties in Cherkessk with an adjacent plot of land, a plot of land in the village of Arkhyz, and two vehicles. The defendants were ordered to pay 1,891,600 rubles, equivalent to the value of the sold car, the press service of the Karachay-Cherkessia courts reported today on Telegram.

"The appellate court found that some of the property was acquired with confirmed income, and therefore dismissed the prosecutor's claim against five properties (apartments in Cherkessk and Moscow, three cars) with a total market value of 33,951,000 rubles," the press service said.

Fifteen properties belonging to the former official and her relatives remain confiscated: 12 non-residential properties with a land plot in Cherkessk, an apartment in Moscow, and a plot of land in Arkhyz. The total market value of the confiscated property was nearly 48.5 million rubles, the court noted.

Gerbekova was twice appointed to the position of chief physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital – in 2010-2011 and 2015-2020. Between these appointments, she headed the regional Ministry of Health. In October 2021, Gerbekova was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Karachay-Cherkessia, but in July 2023, she was dismissed due to loss of confidence.

The "Caucasian Knot" also reported that in an anti-corruption lawsuit against the former head of the Interregional Grid Company of the North Caucasus, Magomed Kaitov, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded the confiscation of 81 transformer substations in Khasavyurt.
