At least 4,384 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,519 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

At School No. 5 in Nartkala, a ceremonial opening of a "hero's desk" dedicated to graduate Rezuan Zhurtov, who was killed in the military operation, took place, the republican branch of the state foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland" reported today on its Telegram channel.

"Rezuan Alimovich is a lieutenant who was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the "For Merit to the Fatherland" medal, 2nd class with swords, the Zhukov medal, and the "Participant in the Northern Military District" medal, the publication states. No other details about the soldier's biography are provided.

Thus, at least 387 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
