Students from Ilia State University held a protest march in Tbilisi against education reform. Participants in the ongoing protest outside parliament, on the 467th day of protests, supported their demands with posters.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 8, supporters of European integration held a protest outside the Georgian parliament for the 466th consecutive day, demanding the release of political prisoners and fair elections. The day before, opposition members held a march in Tbilisi under the slogan "Strength in Unity."

Students from Ilia State University held another protest in Tbilisi today against education reform, which proposes significant cuts to the university's programs.

Protesters gathered during the day near the main university building, where a rally was held, and then marched – first to Tbilisi State University and then to the Ministry of Education building. In addition to students, faculty and graduates participated in the rally under the slogan "I defend education," Pirveli reports.

Supporters of European integration, who gathered outside the Georgian Parliament building for the 467th consecutive day, supported the students' protest with their posters. Activists waving Georgian, EU, and US flags on the pedestrian section of Rustaveli Avenue carried posters reading "We will not forgive the terror against children," "Protect education," "Protect the university," "Remember the days of terror, freedom for prisoners of conscience," "Students should not be cheap labor," and "Return the master's program," according to a Facebook post by photographer Mo Se*.

Protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces violently dispersed the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. Over 1,000 people were subjected to administrative prosecution during the protests.
