Residents of Derbent complained about an unrepaired road.

According to residents, Korkmasova Street in Derbent hasn't been repaired for about 70 years. They have to scoop water from puddles to get their children to school.

A video message with the complaint from Derbent residents was published on the Telegram channel "Pearl of the South," which has over 18,000 subscribers. By 5:00 a.m. Moscow time, the post had garnered over 3,000 views.

"Hello, we would like to contact the mayor regarding Korkmasova Street. We've been living on this street for how many years, probably seventy, and there's no order. In the winter, we drown on this road; it's impossible to get out. It's the same situation in the summer, children are swimming in the mud. Doesn't our administration have any compassion when they see this situation? Even in villages, there aren't such disgraceful roads. This is our main street into the city," a local resident complains in the video.

According to residents, There's no proper road, no sidewalk, and no rainwater drainage. They have to drain the deep, water-filled pits themselves.

"They promised to start fixing it in 2023, but they haven't done anything. They don't even come and ask what's going on on our street," a local resident complained.

At the end of the appeal, the participants asked the city authorities and the mayor to pay attention to the long-standing road problem.

"We're asking you all, don't refuse us," said residents of Korkmasov Street.

By 5:00 AM Moscow time, neither the Derbent administration nor the head of the administration, Khanlar Pashabekov, had officially commented on the residents' complaint.
