52 drones were shot down in three regions of the Southern Federal District.

Last night, the military shot down 45 drones in the Volgograd region, six in the Rostov region, and one in the Astrakhan region. Flight safety restrictions at Volgograd Airport have been lifted.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," drones were shot down last night in four districts of the Rostov region: Chertkovsky, Bokovsky, Kasharsky, and Sholokhovsky, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. There were no reports of casualties or damage, he noted.

From 11:00 PM Moscow time on February 6 to 7:00 AM, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 82 Ukrainian drones, including 45 in the Volgograd region, six in the Rostov region, and one in the Astrakhan region, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down outside the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts: in the Bryansk, Saratov, Oryol, Tver, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, and Smolensk regions.

At Volgograd Airport, restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been lifted, the Rosaviatsia press service reported at 8:30 AM Moscow time on its Telegram channel "Govorit" Rosaviatsiya."

"The restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety," the publication explains.

The Volgograd Region Administration and Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin, as of 9:45 a.m. Moscow time, had not reported the overnight drone attack on their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on December 15, 2025, 38 drones were shot down in the Astrakhan Region. They attacked "industrial and energy facilities," Igor Babushkin reported on his Telegram channel that day. He called it "one of the most massive attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Astrakhan Region."

On January 10, an air strike caused a fire at an oil depot in the Oktyabrsky District of the Volgograd Region. It was extinguished the following day.

On December 14, 2025, a UAV attack also caused a fire at an oil depot in Uryupinsk . Residents of houses adjacent to the oil depot were evacuated.

In the Rostov Region, a ban is in effect on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military unit locations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding governor's decree.

In the Astrakhan and Volgograd Regions, as in other regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, filming drone attacks and their aftermath is prohibited. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
