In the Oktyabrsky District, the mother of the slain Alexander Isaev was presented with the medal "For the Rescue of the Perishing," the Kalmykia branch of the state fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" reported on February 4.

Alexander Isaev was born on August 11, 1978, in the village of Komarovka, Kuibyshev Region. He graduated from the vocational school in the village of Bolshoy Tsaryn. He served his military service in the motorized rifle troops in the city of Maykop. He was deployed to the special military operation zone in July 2024 and served in the Donetsk People's Republic. On September 14, 2025, Sergeant Major Isayev was killed while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Vasyukovka in the Artemivsk direction, according to a statement from the State Fund.

Thus, at least 211 soldiers from Kalmykia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The authorities officially acknowledged that more than 8,550 fighters from southern Russia were killed in the military operation.
