Volunteers were inspired by the participation of a popular Anapa blogger in the fuel oil cleanup.

Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky, having discovered old fuel oil spills on the beach near the Mozhepsin River, turned to volunteers and collected five bags of fuel oil in a few hours. Volunteers can't clean the entire beach themselves, but they can set an example and teach how to clean sand properly, the "Network, Sieve, Shovel" headquarters pointed out, noting that this is precisely the kind of response they expect to receive.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, the beach on Pionersky Prospekt, which was undergoing mechanized cleaning, is littered with fine fuel oil chips, volunteers noted.

Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky, who has over 48,000 subscribers, reported the discovery of old fuel oil on one of the beaches on his Telegram channel.

"I found fuel oil on the beach and contacted "Network, Sieve, Shovel." The guys gave me equipment and trained me. I'll be cleaning Mozhepsin Beach of old fuel oil. "fuel oil," he wrote on his Telegram channel on January 30.

In the video, he showed that the area where the wind had blown away the top layer of sand, exposing a layer of fuel oil crumbs, was small and located near a dune. Volunteers provided the blogger with an "easel" for sifting the sand. In four hours of work, Ozarovsky managed to collect five bags of fuel oil.

"We can't save the entire shore. Not physically. But we can set an example, we can share tools, we can teach how to use them, we can provide consumables. We just want to quickly and together deal with what shouldn't be on the shore," the headquarters commented on the blogger's participation in the cleanup, thanking him for his tangible assistance.

Meanwhile, authorities once again reported no new fuel oil emissions. Thus, the Krasnodar Krai task force reported no new emissions from January 23 to 29. As stated in the report, Kuban SPAS employees are monitoring the condition of the protective embankment at the water's edge, in particular, restoring nets washed away by storms.

The Russian government also reported the absence of emissions, according to a report by the commission for the liquidation of the consequences of the emergency in the Kerch Strait, published on the government's Telegram channel on January 30.

As a reminder, volunteers previously reported that interest in cleaning the coast has significantly decreased compared to the first months after the disaster and there is not enough strength.

On April 18, 2025, Rospotrebnadzor declared 141 beaches in Anapa and nine Beaches of the Temryuk District.
