Villagers in Dagestan complained about a lack of water at a kindergarten.

Residents of the village of Tsunta in the Tsuntinsky District have appealed to the head of Dagestan and law enforcement agencies for help in restoring water supply to the Lastochka kindergarten.

The villagers' appeal was published on the Telegram channel chernovik.net, which has over 47,000 subscribers. By 6:30 a.m. Moscow time, the post had garnered more than 4,000 views.

"I kindly ask you to help shed light on our situation and the problem surrounding the kindergarten in the village of Tsunta, Tsuntinsky District, regarding the lack of water supply at the Lastochka kindergarten for several days," a local resident writes on behalf of the villagers, addressing Sergei Melikov, law enforcement agencies, and the district administration.

According to the resident, the Lastochka kindergarten has been without hot and cold water for several days. According to kindergarten staff, the water and pipes have frozen, so there is no water at the kindergarten, and water has to be collected manually from places where there is a water source.

The lack of a regular water supply negatively impacts the provision of adequate health and hygiene, as well as the comfort of children, residents complained.

Village residents also report that the kindergarten grounds have not been cleared of snow, which hinders access for children and staff, increases the risk of injury, and reduces the safety of both children and adults.

"Considering the above, I ask you to inspect the said educational institution for compliance with sanitary standards and take measures to clean the kindergarten courtyard area, as well as eliminate the identified violations as soon as possible," the statement reads.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of the village of Mokok in the Tsuntinsky District recorded a video message to the head of Dagestan asking for a new school building to be built to replace the one damaged in the fire.
