As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by the evening of January 24, 22 people evacuated from homes in Novaya Adygeya were staying at a temporary accommodation center on the grounds of the Shapsug recreation center. . Nine injured people remained in hospitals.

On the evening of January 27, there were 25 victims at the temporary accommodation center, Asker Savv, head of the Takhtamukaysky District Administration, reported on his Telegram channel.

"The residents' basic needs are met at the temporary accommodation center. Transportation, three meals a day, bedding, and hygiene products are provided. Social and medical workers, as well as administration representatives, are on duty and ready to provide assistance," he wrote.

Repairs to the buildings, he said, are ongoing "daily and nonstop." "All efforts are focused on repairing Building No. 15 and replacing the broken windows. We understand that life in the temporary accommodation center is a temporary solution, and everyone wants to return to normal life as quickly as possible. Therefore, I am monitoring the situation, visiting the scene daily, and communicating with construction workers. The temporary accommodation center will remain open until all victims return to their renovated homes. No one will be left homeless," the official assured.

Later, the official clarified that repair work is underway in all three dozen damaged buildings. "The most serious situation is, of course, Building 15, the second entrance, which has 30 apartments. The 18 apartments in the facade suffered the most damage, to the point that interior partitions, even those between apartments, were destroyed. According to the official, after discussions with construction companies, it was decided to go beyond compensation payments to residents. "We understood that the damage to the apartments here would not be covered by payments. People would be left in a situation where we would partially help them, but they would have to resolve the rest themselves. Understanding this situation, the head of the republic made an unconventional decision: all construction workers who came here would restore these housing free of charge. It's an expensive undertaking, but nonetheless, no one refused," he stated.
