The head of Rostov-on-Don announced the timeframe for residents of the damaged entrance to access their apartments.

Work must be carried out to reinforce the entrance to the building on Leventsovka damaged by a drone attack, after which it will be fit for habitation. Residents will be able to collect their belongings next week, authorities have assured.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on January 14, an aerial attack caused fires in homes and at an industrial facility in Rostov-on-Don. Four residents of Rostov-on-Don and the Myasnikovsky District, including a four-year-old child, were injured and were hospitalized. A temporary accommodation center has been opened in the regional center for residents of the damaged apartment building in the Leventsovsky microdistrict of Rostov-on-Don. Three days after the drone attack, residents of a damaged building in the Leventsovsky microdistrict of Rostov-on-Don are unable to retrieve their belongings from their apartments. Authorities cited the threat of a collapsed entrance as the reason for not allowing residents into their apartments.

A meeting with residents of the damaged entrance damaged by the January 14 air strike was held at the Sovetsky District Administration, Rostov-on-Don Mayor Alexander Skryabin reported today.

According to him, the entrance will be fit for habitation after repairs. "According to preliminary expert opinion, the entrance can be saved, and after all the work, it can be used for residential purposes. Temporary safety work is currently underway to strengthen the entrance's supporting structures," he reported on his Telegram channel.

The mayor also promised that residents will be allowed into their apartments to retrieve necessary belongings. "In the middle of next week, residents of the building will be given the opportunity to enter their apartments one by one and retrieve documents and valuables. The Sovetsky District Administration will promptly inform residents about the stages and timelines of the inspection and restoration," Skryabin wrote.

According to him, residents will not be charged for utilities they do not use, and the district administration will assist with payment processing.
