Four soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria were killed in the SVO zone.

Astemir Tatarov, Ruslan Abidkov, Yuriy Makoyev, and Ivan Kokov were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 363 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by January 1, authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 359 servicemen from Kabardino-Balkaria as killed in Ukraine.

The Baksan administration reported today the presentation of posthumous awards to the families of participants in the military operation in Ukraine. Among those killed are Astemir Tatarov, Ruslan Abidkov, Yuriy Makoyev, and Ivan Kokov.

Thus, at least 363 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 350 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

Previously, Baksan authorities reported three fighters from Baksan killed in the military operation. Their names are Hasan Dzhesh, Safarbi Beslaneyev, and Isuf Kumyshev.

We also recall that a Baksan resident complained to the prosecutor's office that two children and the elderly parents of her husband, killed during the SVO, have not received their survivor's pension for over a year. Following an appeal from the prosecutor's office to the military registration and enlistment office, the deceased's family was awarded a pension and a recalculation was made.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Growing in Southern Russia".

As a reminder, as of January 9, at least 4,172 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,280 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.
