The body of a man killed in a drone attack was found in a Rostov high-rise building.

Rescuers found the body of a man while clearing the rubble of a multi-story building damaged by a drone strike in Rostov-on-Don. The military reported 25 drones shot down overnight in the Rostov Region and 13 in the Stavropol Krai.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," today's aerial attack caused fires in homes and at an industrial facility in Rostov-on-Don. Four residents of Rostov-on-Don and the Myasnikovsky District, including a four-year-old child, were injured and were hospitalized. A temporary accommodation center has opened in the regional center for residents of a damaged apartment building.

A dead man was found during rubble clearing.

A man was killed as a result of a nighttime air strike, Rostov Mayor Alexander Skryabin reported on his Telegram channel. "The identity of the man killed in the attacked apartment building is being determined. Once his identity is established, his family will be provided assistance," he wrote.

Rescuers found the man's body, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. "In one of the apartments in a Rostov high-rise building that caught fire after a drone attack, rescuers found a dead man while clearing the rubble. His identity is being established," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to updated information from the regional governor, the drone attack caused fires at industrial and warehouse buildings in the western industrial zone of Rostov-on-Don. One fire was extinguished, the second was contained.

Two apartments were damaged, windows in others were broken.

"Two apartments in an apartment building in the Leventsovsky microdistrict were damaged, and windows in other apartments in the building were broken. A temporary accommodation center has been set up for residents," Slyusar reported.

Drone attacks were recorded in 10 municipalities in the region.

In addition, two private homes burned in the Fakel gardening community and Leninavan in the Myasnikovsky district, and another home sustained roof damage. "Overnight, enemy air attacks were repelled in 10 cities and districts of the Rostov Region – Rostov, Novocherkassk, Volgodonsk, Bokovsky, Kasharsky, Millerovsky, Myasnikovsky, Milyutinsky, Kamensky, and Ust-Donetsk districts," the publication states.

According to the Ministry of Defense, from 11:00 PM Moscow time on January 13 to 7:00 AM Moscow time, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones, including 25 in the Rostov Region and 13 in the Stavropol Territory.

The remaining drones were shot down in the Bryansk, Belgorod, and Kursk Regions and in Crimea, according to a publication on the ministry's Telegram channel.
