A native of Ingushetia was fined for insulting the "Russian Community"

In Nizhnevartovsk, Ingush native Adam Korigov was fined 20,000 rubles for speaking out against the "Russian Community." He also apologized to law enforcement officials.

According to the court, the conflict occurred on the evening of October 30, 2025, at the Magnit store. Korigov used force against a customer after he and a friend cut in line at the checkout. He then introduced himself as an "active drug enforcement officer" and used obscene language against the nationalist movement "Russian Community."

An expert assessment of Korigov's statements was conducted at Surgut State Pedagogical University. The court concluded that the native of Ingushetia had committed a "disdainful and hostile attitude toward representatives of Russian nationality," the Nizhnevartovsk City Court reported in its ruling on its website.

The court found Korigov's obscene statement was aimed at "inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating dignity based on nationality and race" and found him guilty of committing an administrative offense under Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. 1 Korigov was sentenced to an administrative fine of 20,000 rubles.

"At the court hearing, Korigov did not admit guilt in the offense. He explained that his statement was not directed against the Russian people or aimed at inciting hatred or enmity. He explained that he respects the Russian population, as he has many Russian relatives in his family," the court ruling states.

It should be noted that on October 31, 2025, after his arrest, a video of Korigov's apology appeared on the VKontakte page of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in which he stands with his back to the camera.
