Residents of buildings on Kulieva Street in Nalchik are seeking a ban on the construction of a high-rise building in their courtyard adjacent to their homes. They appealed to the head of the republic, noting that they have been unable to get an appointment with him for seven years.

As reported by "Kavkazsky Uzel," the owners of a garage cooperative have seized a plot of land in a residential area of Nalchik and intend to build a high-rise building there. Residents of Kulieva 6B, Kulieva 4, and Kulieva 2a have gathered to request a ban on illegal construction. We are tired of monologues and dialogues with all the officials. Residents of the buildings have been trying to get an appointment with the head of the republic for seven years. "We've been trying to sign up for an appointment with you for seven years. For seven years, you haven't seen us. How many petitions have we written, how many times have we appealed to you, to all the officials—everyone brushes us aside," a participant in the appeal complained.

According to her, there's practically no space between the buildings. "We share one yard for these four buildings. Where will their yard be? Where will they walk? There's one road here for four buildings. They want to remove all the garages, but the garages have all been privatized. It will be a war," she said.

Participants in the appeal emphasized that building a multi-story building in a courtyard would, for example, prevent a fire truck from accessing the building. The construction is also planned right next to a boiler room.

According to them, the building is planned to be built five meters away from an existing one. "There needs to be some distance. It will be damp, it will be impossible to open the windows," said another participant in the appeal.

Residents stated that "the state doesn't care about ordinary people" and announced their intention to appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office. "The work is progressing, although there are still court proceedings, but the work is progressing," they noted.
