A multi-story building in Sochi was damaged during a drone attack.

A drone attack in Sochi damaged an apartment building. Residents were not injured, authorities reported.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," a drone attack on the night of January 1 damaged two private homes in the village of Severskaya. A day earlier, on December 31, under similar circumstances in Tuapse two people were injured and five homes were damaged.

The Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters reported damage to a multi-story building in Sochi as a result of a drone attack on the evening of January 1.

"UAV debris damaged several windows in an apartment building in Sochi. There are no injuries or fires. Emergency and special services are working on the scene," the official Telegram channel reported.

The drone alert was in effect in Sochi for an hour, from 5:44 p.m. to 6:43 p.m. Moscow time. After it was lifted, Mayor Andrei Proshunin reported that one drone had been destroyed over the city, with no injuries, but a building on Sukhumskoye Highway in Khosta sustained damage.

"Windows in an apartment on the seventh floor were damaged, with debris scattered across the surrounding area (...) We are organizing efforts to quickly restore everything and help residents restore their windows," the official wrote.

According to the mayor, there was no fire in the building. Proshunin specifically asked Sochi residents "not to post videos from the scene."

In its report on the destruction of Ukrainian drones in Russian regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not report any drones shot down in Krasnodar Krai between 4:00 PM and 11:00 PM Moscow time. According to the ministry, during this time period, two UAVs were shot down over the Sea of Azov and 16 over the Rostov Region. The agency's channel also reported the destruction of three drones over Kuban between 8:00 and 16:00 Moscow time.

The "Caucasian Knot" also reported that two men were injured during a drone attack in Krasnodar on December 30th. The day before, on the night of December 29th, two houses were damaged in the Kuban village of Kushchevskaya and 13 private homes in the Krasnodar village of Industrialny. Furthermore, a drone attack in Belorechensk caused a fire at an industrial plant.

On December 26th, a Tuapse resident whose apartment burned completely as a result of a drone attack on November 25th complained about delays in repairs to her home. Evgeniya Tretyakova reported that restoration work in her apartment has still not begun a month after the incident. She also reported that she has not received the emergency payment due to the victims.
