A soldier from the Volgograd region was killed in Ukraine.

Boris Kostyanov from Kamyshin was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,546 combatants from the Volgograd region killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 24, at least 1,545 servicemen from the Volgograd region had been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine.

The name of another soldier from the Volgograd region killed in Ukraine was released today by the Kamyshin administration. The deceased is Boris Kostyanov, according to a post on the municipality's official Telegram channel.

According to regional media, Boris Kostyanov was buried today. The man killed was 32 years old and was mobilized into the war zone, Bloknot-Kamyshin reports, citing Kostyanov's relatives.

Before his mobilization in 2022, Kostyanov worked as a power engineer at a plant in Kamyshin and raised two children. He was killed back in October 2023, but was considered missing, according to the city portal Infokam, citing his wife.

Thus, at least 1,546 soldiers from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to a "Caucasian Knot" report, "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Casualties Mounting in Southern Russia."

On November 22, the head of the Svetloyarsky District announced that Dmitry Mikhaylin and Sergei Ilyin were killed in Ukraine, and their families received their soldiers' awards.
