A participant in a protest march in Tbilisi has been arrested.

A Tbilisi court has arrested Nino Bardzimishvili, a participant in the protest movement in support of musician Mate Devidze, for two days. Another protester, Ketevan Khuskivadze, was fined.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the 357th day of daily protests in Tbilisi, clashes occurred between protesters and police, and several marchers were detained after they stepped onto the roadway. The march was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the arrest of musician Mate Devidze. Among those arrested was Ketevan Khuskivadze, a professor at Tbilisi State University.

On November 21, a Tbilisi court found two participants in the Mate Devidze solidarity march, Ketevan Khuskivadze and Nino Bardzimishvili, guilty of an administrative offense, Georgia Online reported today.

Khuskivadze was fined 5,000 lari, and Bardzimishvili was arrested for two days.

As a reminder, 21-year-old Mate Devidze was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison following protests in November 2024. According to the investigation and the court, Devidze inflicted bodily harm on three police officers with a wooden stick.

Security forces carried out violent dispersals of the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. During the protests, more than a thousand people were subjected to administrative prosecution.
